Hello! Thanks for visiting our Studio Rhode blog from Westerly. We’re very excited to be able to focus on stimulating the arts community and having the library serve as the central location to do so!

You may have a few questions, and we have some answers:

What is Studio Rhode?

Studio Rhode is a grant done in partnership with the Office of Innovation and the Office of Library and Information Services. We will have iPad driven programming to support a need within the community. Our need identified in Westerly was support of the arts.

What are we doing?

Our plan encompasses a multi-faceted view of the arts; from stop-motion animation, to oral histories, to fiber arts, to Makerspace technologies, we hope to include everything arts related. You can see posts about the individual programs on the “Programs” drop-down menu on the top right of the page. We are also actively seeking community feedback, so if there’s something arts related you’d like to see, please let us know by emailing Kelsey at kmatthews@westerlylibrary.org!

How can I participate?

You can check out the programs upcoming on our events calendar by clicking here.  Programming is free and open to everyone, although certain programs may be age restricted or have registration required.
